Happy Healthy Vision Month, everyone!
May is the perfect time to shine a spotlight on our eye health. Here are some friendly tips to keep your peepers in tip-top shape:
Get Regular Eye Exams
Regular visits to your optometrist can really make a difference. A big shoutout to our fantastic members who are optometrists—thank you for taking such great care of your community’s vision!
Try the 20-20-20 Rule
If you’re spending lots of time on screens (who isn’t?), remember to give your eyes a little break. Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. It’s a simple way to help reduce eye strain!
Eat a Healthy Diet
Incorporate foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, along with omega-3 fatty acids to support vision health. Leafy greens, carrots, and fish like salmon are excellent choices.
Rock Those Sunglasses
Don’t forget to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays! A stylish pair of shades works wonders, even on cloudy days.
Stay Hydrated
Drinking enough water is crucial for keeping your eyes nice and moist.
